With
a background in Sociology studied at Trinity College,
Dublin, Pamela Bradley has been working as a genealogist
for many years. She became a member
of APGI in the 1980s, served as its Hon. Secretary
from 1992 to 1994, and as President from December
2003 to December 2006. Pamela worked on the Genealogy
Advisory Service from its inception in the Genealogical
Office, and is still on the rota of APGI members
operating in the National Archives. She organised
APGI's Advisory Service which was provided at each
of the four Genealogical Congresses held in
Dublin. Pamela worked for the Friends' Historical
Library for some years so is familiar with many
Quaker sources and Quaker history in Ireland. She
also undertook research for the BBC series 'Who
Do You Think You Are?' Living in Co Wicklow,
Pamela particularly welcomes research queries for
counties Wicklow and Wexford.
