Areas of research: Co. Cork family history

Special interests: DNA projects relating to surname research

Margaret’s background is in science and mathematics and she holds a BSc. Honours degree and a Higher Diploma in Education. She taught in a second level school until 2006. Margaret started researching her own family tree in 1997 and has expanded to researching other families since then.

She lives in Co. Cork and focuses on County Cork family research. She is involved in running two DNA Projects, one of which is the Ireland yDNA Project and the other is the O’Shea yDNA Project
